About Larishona
The Center for Women's Leadership in Israel

Our Mission: Larishona works to promote women to top decision-making positions (‘No.1’ positions) at the highest levels of public leadership in Israel, through focused talent-scouting, training, group guiding and mentoring for women leaders in their final stage towards ‘No.1’ positions, using a unique evidence-based model partnering with women leaders currently or formerly holding ‘No. 1’ positions.

The organization: The Larishona Center for Women’s Leadership in Israel operates under the Golda Meir Institute.

Theory of Change: We focus on the “Last Mile”—the critical stage where women transition from senior management to top (‘No. 1') positions. By supporting talented senior women at this stage with the right tools, connections, and guidance, we aim to bring the leadership Israel needs into key decision-making roles at this pivotal time.

Vision: Partnership and equality between men and women at the top of public sector leadership in Israel ('No. 1').

Strategic Goals:

  1. Short-Term Goal (1 Year) - Halt the decline in the number of women holding top ‘No. 1' positions in Israel’s public sector.

  2. Medium-Term Goal (3 Years) - Achieve historic milestones in the number of women in ‘No. 1' positions across three selected public sectors.

  3. Long-Term Goal (10 Years) - Reach a critical mass of women in top leadership positions across various sectors, ensuring continuity and impact over time.
